This Landrover was originally a Fire Tender. Ken took it on as a restoration project when the previous owner, his son, emigrated to Australia in 2003. Ken's initial aim was to get the vehicle into good running order and painted so that he could use it as an everyday vehicle when he retired. The gearbox had to be replaced due to a broken main shaft. Ken also spent weeks sorting out the brakes, which are notoriously difficult to bleed. There were various large holes where previously installed equipment had been removed. Ken made plates to cover these and riveted them in place. New doors were bought - the originals were unsalvageable - and Ken sprayed the car. Some necessary purchases followed; working gauges for non-working gauges, ordinary tyres to replace the off-road rubber and new seats to replace the very basic ones in the cab. These last two items have made for a slightly more comforatbl ride!

This vehicle is available for Film/TV work.
