WHERE WE HAVE BEEN

CLAYGATE FLOWER SHOW AND CLASSIC CAR SHOW
13th July 2024
Another happy band of party goers. 🤣🤣
Thanks to Clive and Maggie Farrow for the pictures

FAWLEY HILL RAILWAY & MUSEUM
28th July 2024

We were very grateful to Phil Miller for organising today’s outing to Fawley Hill. There were two cars there from SCVC, joining many Rolls Royces and Bentleys.
We were made very welcome and had a super day. The museum is packed with all sorts of railway and motoring memorabilia, models and signage, which is expertly managed by numerous volunteers. We enjoyed two rides on the train, from which much rescued railway architecture could be seen in the estate, along with a herd of beautiful deer.
An excellent day.

WOOD STREET VILLAGE FETE
20th July 2024
A first time invitation to this show near Guildford. Just a few club members went and it proved to be a most enjoyable day with plenty of stalls and eateries.
Let's hope they do it again next year.

NEWDIGATE SHOW

28th July 2024

This was the second year that Newdigate Village has hosted a village fete and car show and there were more cars than last year. I predict that this show will grow as it is still a free show - and there aren't that many still around!

AUDLEY VILLAGE
30th July 2024

Audley Village, Fairmile Lane, saw the Surrey Classic Vehicle Club at the Claygate show a couple of weeks ago.
Having been impressed by us they asked if we would like to bring a few cars to the village, which is very close to the Fairmile - where we meet - for a 'Gentlmen's Lunch'.
Having discussed the logistics we took four cars that represented 'the Best of British'.
Over lunch two of us gave short presentations on the topic of classic car ownership and after lunch we went outside and talked to the residents about our cars and the Surrey Classic Vehicle Club.
We have invited the staff and residents to come and see many more of our cars at our 'End of Summer Gathering' in September.
